Day 1 - North Island Fairway Day 1 - Arrive Auckland
| Arrive Auckland and collect your Budget Rental Car. Head towards New Zealand's largest city surrounded by two natural harbours. Day 2 - North Island Fairway Day 2 - Auckland
| A great day out at Titirangi Golf Course only a 20 minute drive from downtown Auckland. The course designed by one of the masters - Dr Alistair Mackenzie. This course provides a true test for golfers as his only New Zealand master piece. Rated as one of New Zealand's top 5 courses you will enjoy the surrounds as you walk amongst tall exotics, native bush and undulating landscape. Tonight take a ride to the top of the Sky Tower offering 360 degree views across the city and harbour and enjoy a great dinner at the Observatory Restaurant. |
Day 3 - North Island Fairway Day 3 - Auckland to Bay of Islands
| Travel north across the Auckland harbour bridge through the sprawling northern suburbs of Auckland travelling onto the Bay of Islands. This historic area is of significance to the foundation of modern day New Zealand. This afternoon join Fullers for an afternoon scenic dolphin cruise, exploring the bay and taking in the famous Cape Brett and 'Hole in the Rock'. Day 4 - North Island Fairway Day 4 - Kauri Cliffs Golf Day
| One of the highlights of your holiday will be playing this spectacular sea side course considered by many to be the absolute best available in New Zealand and only 40 minutes north of Paihia. To make the best possible golf outing, spend some time at the first-class driving range and putting green before you head out. Once you are playing however don't be suprised if you forget to keep score as just being there is an exceptional experience in itself. Tonight spend a fun and relaxing evening cruising the calm Waitangi River up to spectacular Haruru Falls, enjoying a great BBQ style meal onboard Darryl's Dinner Cruise with full bar available. |
Day 5 - North Island Fairway Day 5 - Bay of Islands to Orewa
| An early start this morning travelling south toward Auckland. Stop at Gulf Harbour Country Club and Golf Resort on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula for a round of 18 with the cliff edge ocean views on the back nine, well worth the experience. Day 6 - North Island Fairway Day 6 - Orewa to Rotorua
| This morning you travel back towards Auckland, crossing over the Auckland Harbour Bridge as you travel south towards Hamilton. Your journey today will take you to Rotorua, known as the spiritual home to the Maori and the centre of New Zealand's most active geothermal areas; geysers, bubbling mud pools, steaming pathways and gardens make this a truly unique destination. This evening share in an ancient Maori ceremony, experience traditional Maori hangi food and learning about the Maori culture. Day 7 - North Island Fairway Day 7 - Rotorua Golf Course
| Today you will enjoy a round of golf on Arikikapakapa Course at Rotorua Golf Club. The course is unique, with one of the attractions being the number of boiling mud pools and steam vents along the way. Be challenged with a monster of a thermal crater that guards the left of the spectacular 14th hole, this course will sure be one that you will remember. This afternoon is at your leisure, why not enjoy a soak in the thermal waters of the Priest Pools at Polynesian Spa. |
Day 8 - North Island Fairway Day 8 - Wairakei Resort Taupo
| Travelling south today for a round at Wairakei Golf Resort at Lake Taupo, New Zealand's original golf resort built in 1970. Recent upgrades to the course have maintained its consistent status of one of New Zealand's finest places to play. Day 9 - North Island Fairway Day 9 - Taupo to Napier
| Travel across the central plateau to the Hawkes Bay region and Napier, claimed to be the world's Art Deco Capital. Take a drive along Marine Parade and the foreshore area looking out over the South Pacific Ocean. This afternoon enjoy a one hour guided tour by vintage Buick including the major Art Deco highlights including a visit to Hawke's Bay Club, National Tobacco Company Building and an Art Deco home. Day 10 - North Island Fairway Day 10 - Cape Kidnappers
| A spectacular round today on a new course which is quickly being recognised as one of the best (if not the best in NZ and the World). Like Kauri Cliffs, Cape Kidnappers plays above the ocean, atop dramatic cliffs. This is one of the most challenging courses in New Zealand, regardless of which tee you play from! The remainder of the day is at leisure, why not sample the renowned Chardonnay or Bourdeaux-style red. |
Day 11 - North Island Fairway Day 11 - Napier to Wellington
| As you travel south today orchards and vineyards give way to lush farmlands as you pass through Hastings, Dannevirke and Woodville for an early afternoon arrival into the capital city of Wellington. Take a ride on the famous cable car and visit Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand. Wellington is well known for its cafe culture and reputed to have the best coffee in New Zealand along with many boutique food stores. Day 12 - North Island Fairway Day 12 - Wellington & Paraparaumu
| This morning take a scenic drive along the Kapiti Coast, a very pleasant fifty-minute drive north of the capital city. Paraparaumu Beach enjoys a long held reputation as the premier links course in New Zealand. Paraparaumu Beach has hosted the New Zealand Open Championship on twelve occasions as well as numerous prestigious professional and amateur tournaments. Enjoy the return journey into Wellington, stopping to enjoy the views. |
