Blenheim

Blenheim is the main service centre for the Marlborough region, located in the wide river valley of the Wairau Plain. Seymour Square, in the town centre, has beautiful gardens and there are many private gardens open for viewing. Craft studios and galleries are abundant, as is boutique accommodation - old homesteads, lodges overlooking the Marlborough Sounds and quaint cottages.

Blenheim provides the ideal base from which to explore many vineyards, in an area renowned for Sauvignon Blanc. Whilst touring, drop in on a boutique brewery and visit the local orchards to pick and sample their fare. Nearby, visit Molesworth Station, a high country farm steeped in history, or Wither Hills Farm Park, offering views over the Wairau Plains. Experience horse trekking through mountainous terrain or take a river cruise, following the traditional trading route of early settlers. Fly-fishing and hunting tours are available and two ski fields are only a short drive away.
